A brief Annual Report to remind everyone about the activities of the Trust and how we are able to help residents within the “Area of Benefit”.
The Trust has a fairly substantial amount of equipment, which is available for residents to borrow for parties, weddings, social gatherings and family get-togethers. During the past year it has been used at a wedding, Lordington Lavender Open Days, Stoughton Fête, as well as other Fêtes and parties. The Trust also covers the cost of hiring the marquees used on alternate years at the
If you wish to take advantage of some or all of the equipment, you should initially contact one of the trustees. All we ask is that it is returned to the store in a clean and tidy condition. In the event that anything is damaged or broken whilst in your care, please inform the Trust Chairman so that any necessary action can be taken.
We are able to help some residents with grants towards their heating costs, providing for a Community Alarm where necessary and helping with the cost of some medical treatments.
This year we organised an outing to the Pantomime “Aladdin” at the King’s Theatre in Southsea, when 48 local residents and friends had an enjoyable afternoon.
